‘The City appreciates the patience and cooperation of road users in and around Grassy Park and Lotus River as we work to improve the road network, and keep Cape Town moving with good quality roads. The work involves resurfacing of roads, replacing selected damaged manholes, catch pits, frames and chambers where necessary. Once completed, new road markings will be applied to improve road safety and visibility,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
To facilitate the work, partial lane closures will be in place from 1 April to 30 May 2025. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes where possible to minimise delays.
